Staff at Remington report some very impressive calves in the International ET group

The Canadian Angus Association is very excited to introduce a unique international cattle display at the World Angus Forum in 2009.

Angus associations from around the world have provided embryos from their leading herds, which have been implanted in Canadian Angus cows. The resulting progeny were born in 2008, are being raised in a common manner and will then be on display during the 2009 World Angus Forum in Canada.

Never before has there been such an opportunity to view world-class Angus genetics from so many countries in one place!

THE DETAILS

On August 24, 2007, 98 embryos from 9 countries were implanted into recipients at Remington Land & Cattle at Del Bonita, Alberta. This resulted in the birth of 26 calves. After DNA confirmation, 23 live animals were registered in the Canadian Angus Association Herdbook.
