In July 2009 Angus cattle and enthusiasts will invade the beautiful grounds at Spruce Meadows as Canada hosts the World Angus Forum. Located in the foothills of the Alberta Rocky Mountains just 35 minutes from Calgary’s city centre and the International Airport it is comprised of 360 park-like acres. The internationally-recognized equestrian facility annually holds five of the largest show jumping tournaments in the world. It was named the globe’s number one show jumping facility in 2001/2002 and 2003/2004. This is an all-season facility that hosts conventions and trade shows as well as show-jumping and dressage events. Spruce Meadows also breeds, trains, and sells Hanoverian Horses. Spruce Meadows will be the “one-stop” center for all World Angus Forum 2009 events, including meetings, cattle shows, trade pavilions, exhibits, the gala evening and Junior activities. You’ll be able to catch a seminar, tour the cattle exhibits and dine in style with their gourmet meals. Select Forum hotels are located just 10 minutes from the grounds with regular, scheduled transportation available. |
