Canada is the second largest country in the world covering six time zones. Most of the population of more than 33 million resides in the southern part with more than 75% living in cities and towns. Agriculture is a very important part of the Canadian economy with the country known as the “World’s Bread Basket”.

The Trans Canada Highway crosses the country from St. John’s, Newfoundland on the east coast to Victoria, British Columbia on the west coast - a total of 7,604 km (4,725 miles) - making it the longest national highway in the world.

Canada is divided into 10 provinces and 3 territories with Ottawa as the capital city.

Canada has two official languages - English and French.
